Signs can go up in the yard no sooner than 30 days prior to the
election (election November 5th = signs up October 6th).
Anyone who wants a sign should call 330.273.6292 or send an email to Karla@RightToElect.org
There are no known time restrictions on
placing a political sign in the window of one’s home or on one’s
car.
All interested people are encouraged to participate in a literature
distribution ‘push’ beginning on Saturday, Sept. 21st,
and again on Saturday, Nov. 2nd, in whatever manner they
are comfortable.
Guidelines for distributing fliers
Do NOT put fliers inside of
mailboxes.
Fliers may be left in the "newspaper"
portion of a mailbox or tucked in behind the flag.
Fliers may be tucked into a screen door or door
handle. DO NOT knock on people's doors to talk to
people when distributing fliers;
this is in violation of a city ordinance. Of course, talking to
friends and neighbors about the issue is always
encouraged.
If mailboxes/newspaper boxes are located at the
street you can deliver them in your car...please be
safe and stay aware of traffic.
In the parking lots of local shopping centers only
with permission from the store (write down
the name of the person giving permission plus the date
and time) and only person-to-person.
Local ordinances prohibit putting fliers on cars,
under windshield wipers or posting them on any private
property without the consent of the owner. Local
ordinances prohibit putting fliers on public property
(see above link).
